Dr. Scott Ellner is a nationally recognized physician executive, surgeon, and innovator who has dedicated his career to advancing patient safety, quality care, and operational excellence in healthcare.

Currently serving as President of the INTEGRIS Health Medical Group in Oklahoma City — the state’s largest employed physician enterprise with more than 1,000 physicians and advanced practice providers — Dr. Ellner leads strategic growth, clinical performance, and physician engagement across over 200 clinics. Since joining INTEGRIS Health in 2024, he has implemented transformative initiatives that have driven year-over-year growth, enhanced care outcomes, and strengthened physician alignment across the system.

Prior to this role, Dr. Ellner served as Chief Executive Officer of Billings Clinic, Montana’s largest health system and the state’s first to be designated as an American College of Surgeons (ACS)-verified Level 1 trauma center. Under his leadership, Billings Clinic achieved major milestones, including a CMS 5-Star rating, Leapfrog “A” designation, and recognition by Forbes as the Best Large Employer in Montana. He also successfully led the organization through the COVID-19 pandemic, expanded its regional presence, and oversaw the development of a new $150 million ambulatory campus in Bozeman.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Ellner held senior executive roles at Centura Health (now AdventHealth and CommonSpirit Health), where he served as Group President and CEO of Physician Alignment, leading a network of over 900 employed providers and 5,000 clinically aligned physicians. He also served as President of the Saint Francis Medical Group in Hartford, Connecticut, where he founded the Connecticut Surgical Quality Collaborative, a statewide initiative that reduced surgical safety events by 50% through team training and data-driven safety protocols.

Beyond executive leadership, Dr. Ellner’s career reflects his enduring commitment to innovation and education. He founded Peak Health Technologies, a venture focused on longevity and health optimization, through his work as an Executive-in-Residence with LRVHealth in Boston. He is also an advocate for physician well-being and high-reliability organizational principles, integrating artificial intelligence and behavioral science to foster safer, more adaptive healthcare systems.

Dr. Ellner’s thought leadership has been featured in Authority Magazine’s “Leading from the C-Suite” series, where he shared insights on mission-driven leadership and resilience in health systems management.
